Students enrolled for Post Graduate Diploma in Music Therapy in CSMT, as a part of the requirement for the certificate have to undergo 6 months internship training only in any one of the centers with onsite supervision.
Chennai.
1). Cancare Foundation, VHS, Taramani, Chennai
2) Kumaran Hospitals Chennai.
In these centers, the internship trainees work alongside the oncologists team to provide music therapy services(both inpatient and outpatient services) as a supportive care. The music therapy programs in VHS, Taramani and Kumaran Hospitals are run by CSMT in collaboration with Cancare Foundation.
3). Spastics Society of Tamilnadu, Chennai. In accordance with the MoU, internship placements in this center began from April 1st, 2023. Clinical supervision is provided by the faculty of CSMT.
Pondicherry.
1. School of Music Therapy, Institute of Salutogenesis and Complementary Medicine, Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth, Pondicherry.
It is to be noted that the allocation of internship site to the students rests only with the CSMT administration
